"The First and Greatest Commandment" by Jeffrey R. Holland
Well, After watching this talk by Elder Holland, I would like you to just imagine a year and a half ago little Sister Wallis in her first transfer as a missionary--fresh from the MTC--sitting in a little room watching this. It was clear to me then and even clearer now that my "experience with the living Son of the living God"was then starting. My mission I literally felt the Savior working alongside me. We prayed with Him, taught with Him, and studied with Him.
So now what? I'm home. I feel I understand Peter's situation better than I ever did. It seems like nothing happened. Was I really on the other side of the country, eating pupusas and telling anyone who would listen about Jesus Christ? Did all that really happen? Everything at home seems like I never left. It's so easy to go back to fishing--to go back to being the person I was and doing the things I did.
But what the Lord needs is disciples, and He needs them forever!
Thanks, Elder Holland.
